About St Lawrence’s GAA

St. Lawrence’s Gaelic Football Club was formed in November 1980 and immediately established a strong underage development programme in order to progress as a major team within the highly competitive County of Lancashire. They eventually claimed their first Senior Championship in 1998 with the foothold of the team having been developed by the club’s successful youth policy. They were the first Lancashire team to win the Pennine League since its establishment and are the only team within the County to have won The Double (both Junior & Senior Championships 1998) and The Treble (All three senior titles 2003) in any one season.

The club take pride in their commitment to the development of Gaelic sports at an underage level and also have strong links with neighbouring schools and universities and a local Aussie Rules Club.

The Club prides itself on traditional “family values” and often organise social events to bring all people involved with the Club together.
